Senior Account Director

Job Purpose:

 

They’re looking for an exceptional and experienced Senior Client Service professional to run one of their highest profile accounts. A household name FMCG brand with an ambitious digital plan that will need expert management to ensure seamless delivery and long-term growth. 

 

You will embody positivity, proactiveness, and a dynamic 'can-do' attitude. The right candidate for this role will inspire confidence and motivation within your team, fostering a

collaborative and solutions-driven environment. You should be adept at anticipating client needs, taking initiative to deliver exceptional outcomes, and confidently navigating challenges with optimism and creativity.

 

Your leadership will prioritise building strong internal and external relationships at all levels, ensuring seamless project delivery, and driving growth for both clients and the agency.

 

Group Account Director        

Responsibilities;

 

This role will mean owning client relationships, complete commercial and business understanding to ensure the agency meets client needs including revenue ownership - forecasting and delivery against revenue and growth targets. 

 

Relationship management 

 

As the key senior day to day contact, this role is responsible for building and

maintaining strong relationships with clients and understanding their business goals,

challenges and expectations of the agency.  

 

Strategic Planning 

 

Strategic Partner working closely with the senior clients and the strategy team, the

G/SAD has overall responsibility for the account strategy and will shape clear and

accurate briefs and agency responses to client requests aligned to client business

goals and objectives.

 

Project Management & Delivery

 

Overseeing the execution and delivery of campaigns and projects, ensuring they are

delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Demonstrate high-quality briefing skills; ensuring the highest standard outputs. 

 

Business development & Account Growth

 

Identifying opportunities for upselling additional services & projects to existing clients,

with possible participation in new business proposal.

 

Reporting and analysis 

 

Overseeing regular reporting to clients on the performance of the work and making

recommendations for future strategies.

 

Commercial

 

Ownership, management and delivery of the revenue forecast to target,

demonstrating a comprehensive and profit-focussed understanding of all revenue

figures.

 

Effectively and confidently negotiate budgets with all levels of client stakeholder.

 

Actively support (S)AMs & AEs to manage weekly revenue of billing plans against

targets. 

 

Accurate and timely comms around revenue.

 

Team

 

Lead and mentor a team of account managers, account executives, and other staff to

ensure smooth project execution and effective communication between the agency

and the client. 

 

Skilfully balance supporting team needs and requests with managing owned

deliverables, ensuring all priorities are met effectively and efficiently, whilst ensuring

the team feel supported.

 

Internal agency 

 

Development of PDPs for direct reports. 

Ongoing management of PDPs & training needs with direct reports.

The go to person for all aspects on your clients – business, revenue, the work and the

outlook. 

Develop an in depth understanding of of the company and their ethos; ensuring confidence in

presenting agency creds and proposals to clients and prospects.

 

 

SAD / GAD

Required Skills:

 

You will possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, confidently leading senior client meetings, delivering compelling proposals, and driving enthusiasm for ideas and strategies.

 

You will have a deep understanding of agency and client processes, outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, and the capability to oversee workflows seamlessly. With extensive marketing expertise, you should demonstrate strategic thinking, creative planning, and the ability to activate campaigns effectively.

 

A strong grasp of industry trends and category experience is essential in order to inform work with valuable market insights and deliver impactful results for clients.

 

The ideal candidate will be in a Senior Account Director position as a minimum, with GAD level experience preferred.
