They’re looking for an experienced Graphic Designer who can happily slot into a large and busy marketing team and take ownership of the company’s day-to-day graphic design requirements.
Graphic Designer
Our Ideal Candidate;
As a MW Graphic Designer you will be pivotal to their creative output and be integral to the marketing team. Being the core graphic designer, you will still be able to tap in to external web agencies as and when needed, but they are looking for someone with strengths in printed and digital literature design, working within multiple identities within one brand covering several demographics and developing inspiring social media graphics.
You will need to be highly motivated, detail-driven, thrive in a fast-paced working environment and be happy to balance multiple projects at any given time. They are looking for someone who is able to work within clear parameters but are happy to push boundaries when it comes to design.
MW Designer
Core responsibilities;
You will be working alongside the Head of Brand and Marketing, the Marketing Manager, and other marketing team members including events, PR and social media.
This will be a highly diverse job role and you will be ensuring effective communication with differing key demographics within the medical device sector. You will be a key member of the marketing team, involved in projects from the initial planning stages, through to execution and delivery.
On an average day, you will be supporting the marketing team with tasks such as social media graphics, literature (new and updates), participating in planning meetings, and creating company presentations. This role will also require you to be involved in large project work as and when needed, e.g. developing complex literature, evolving brand identities, website design layouts, and any supportive work required for large growth projects. Your role will include:
• Creating compelling campaigns and designs from internally driven briefs delivered by the marketing team
• Creating consistent brand execution across print and digital materials and campaigns
• Creation of social media assets (including basic video and audio)
• Digital development of campaign assets
• Development and execution of printed materials ranging from regulated literature, brochures, one-pagers, and data-dense clinical education packs
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver graphics for exhibitions and events
• Working with the digital marketing team to ensure consistency across company websites
• Supporting internal stakeholders with tasks such as email design, presentation templates and infographics
They will provide the successful individual with training around their medical technology, the medical device sector and key demographics they work with. They see this role as a fully integrated role within the company and the marketing team.
Creative Designer
Required Skills:
A recent portfolio showcasing creative ability across print and digital design, that highlights great use of typography and editorial layout skills, showcasing ability to appropriately communicate with different demographics across marketing materials. Background or experience in a regulated sector (medical / finance / law etc) would be advantageous but not mandatory.
Essential:
• Worked in-house with a marketing team
• Confidence with written-language as well as visual-language
• Adherence to brand guidelines, with the ability to be innovative when required
• Technically proficient in the use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experiencing with working on both print and digital assets
• Within a fast-paced environment while maintaining an excellent standard of design
• An excellent communicator who works well within the team but also has the self-motivation to work autonomously
• Experience of creating website content for Wordpress or similar
• Comfortable working to SOPs, with a methodical approach to company workflows where applicable
Desirables (not mandatory):
• Basic video editing skills on Adobe Premiere Pro or similar
• Basic video animation skills on Adobe After Effects or similar
• Worked in a regulatory environment, having to adhere to quality requirements for issued documentation
• Experience designing materials involving statistics and data
• Knowledge of email marketing software or HTML for the production of email
You will need to be able to meet at the head office on an ad-hoc basis so will probably live within 1 hour of Huddersfield.
