Graphic Designer
Job Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Creative Artworker / Designer based at their vibrant business head office in Silsden, Keighley. Reporting into the Design Co-Ordinator, the small but perfectly formed Design Team support the end-to-end product development process to bring their exciting and innovative cosmetics products to market.
Working within a commercial and creative product team, this role will be focused on the creative stage of all year-round cosmetics across their two hero brands. Product photography, packaging artwork and marketing creatives will be a key part of your day-to-day duties. Working with wider internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Regulations, Design and Quality, you will support the NPD teams in creating a compelling and consumer led range, demonstrating innovation and being continually responsive to changing market trends.
Creative Artworker
Responsibilities;
• Create artwork from concept through to print ready files
• Create artwork based on internal or external briefs or follow their own brand guidelines for range handwriting consistency
• Create visuals / mock-ups as requested
• Follow internal and customer style guides
• Typeset multi language packaging with ingredients and warnings to legal specifications
• Adapt artwork based on feedback
• Concept new ranges and identify trends – they always welcome lots of fresh ideas
• Product photography including lifestyle arrangements and image retouching
• Communication is important to the role, liaising with the Regulatory team, Product Managers and Quality and Sustainability teams
• Self-check own finished artwork for consistency and quality
• Check production artwork supplied by factories
• Update CDP trackers
• Assist with other workstreams as and when required
Graphic Designer
Required Skills:
• A full and fluent knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Photography skills and image editing experience
• Able to own and take responsibility; consistency, deadline management (often working to short deadlines and fast turnarounds), accuracy and quality
• Ability to work on a variety of projects at any one time
• Excellent knowledge of print setup
• Attention to detail a must
• Minimum of two year creative industry experience, preferably in a similar role
• Working within the cosmetics / gift industry an advantage
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Flexible team member with the ability to build cross functional relationship.
• Interest in the beauty market an advantage – brands, trends and products
• Willing to take a collaborative role and participate in meetings
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
