Our client is a renowned, long-established retailer with head offices based in West Leeds. They create ostentatious products specifically for the high street, have an exciting, huge studio where all ideas are welcome and forward thinking is a must.

 

They are looking for a Creative Artworker to join their large design team to help inspire and educate their customers on the life enhancing products they produce.

Our Ideal candidate;

 

As a Creative Artworker, you will be an all-round Graphic Designer whose role is to support the Creative Team in delivering first class design solutions for all marketing communications materials to promote their content (catalogue spreads, printed brochures, POS, exhibition panels and occasional online material for their web team).

 

You will have good knowledge of print techniques and be mindful of budget restrictions and print lead times.

 

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that showcases skills in creating print and online assets. You will show creative flair, be well organised, self-motivated, keen and have a meticulous attention to detail.

 

Creative Artworker

Core responsibilities;

 

Your role will cover the design of print, and digital campaigns including creating key art for their programmes; brochures; promos; advertising and website interface.

 

As a Creative Artworker you will create fast and accurate paste ups for the books / re-sizes / re-versions / multiples of existing artwork; especially artwork for the books they produce.

 

You will need to think ahead of the curve - any new trends in graphic design and digital innovations will be shared with the team to further yourself and the team’s development; seeking out new and innovative ways of doing things and contributing your ideas to the team as they will with you.

 

 

Artworker

Required Skills:

 

You’ll be adept at managing the expectations of the Creative Head and Studio Manager; being able to deliver work of a high standard both creatively and from a repro perspective, maintaining a good working relationship with the team and various other departments that you will deal with throughout the business.

 

Excellent communications skills are key; you will be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels. You must be a team player; willing to collaborate and share ideas, as well as receive feedback from colleagues to develop creative output to further improve work standards for the department.

 

Relevant commercial graphic design/web or multimedia design experience is essential, as is current knowledge of internet technologies, standards and methodologies. You must be a confident user of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Indesign and Photoshop. Any experience using Adobe After Effects would be advantageous but not mandatory.
