My client is one of the UK’s leading luxury clothing retailers and is universally recognised as a brand synonymous with style, quality and service. Based in West London, they are enjoying a period of growth and expansion and have a position for an Assistant Logistics Manager/Stock Controller, preferably with lingerie or swimwear experience for their busy distribution centre in North Acton.
Requirements:
A minimum of 12 months experience in a fashion retail environment is essential. The post will be primarily focused on stock control, distribution and support for retail operations in terms of both product for sale within the stores and the ordering of other sundries and equipment that may be required within the company.
Job Description:
• Oversee 4 members of staff in the Warehouse and Post Departments • Assist with performance reviews and appraisals, setting objectives • Strive to achieve personal objectives set by yourself and Head of Logistics • Process goods in: checking against the purchase order, entering stock onto the system and printing tickets • Notify the Buying Department and/or supplier of incorrect deliveries or discrepancies • Ensuring that time critical deliveries are prioritised and ensuring that the accounts department are notified • Rectify stock that is incorrectly sent/processed ensuring that unwanted items are returned • Check store feedback for goods received, rectifying stock where necessary • Ensure that all stores are complying with admin procedures, giving feedback and advice directly • Assist stores with biannual inventory preparation, floor plans and ensuring that systems are functioning • Help to oversee store inventories, ensuring data is correctly entered onto system and errors are identified • Directly oversee warehouse and sale stock inventories • Liase with couriers to ensure transfers to the stores are arranged or rescheduled for suitable dates • Ensure that support is given to store staff and/or Area Manager • Oversee the supply of bags, gift boxes and other sundries to the stores • Ensure that all forms of communication are running efficiently and being maintained where appropriate
Essential qualities: Highly numerate and literate with excellent attention to detail. Good working knowledge of both Futura and product Ability to manage others.
