Description:
My client provides engineering services for new facilities and revamps including conceptual design studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC). In addition, they also provide maintenance and turnaround management and is committed to high quality services incorporating the highest standards of safety, environmental protection and performance.

These roles are senior positions in the Company’s engineering team. Demonstrable strengths in job control and organisation and a proven track record of delivering project execution to budget and programme, allied to sound technical knowledge, are essential.

Responsibilities will include

• Quality and performance of the stress engineering activities on all projects.
• Execution of the piping stress engineering activities on the projects assigned.
• Supervision of other stress engineers, including checking and approval of their work.
• Assisting in departmental administration work including preparation of corporate procedures, standards and specifications.
• Detailed knowledge of international piping codes is essential along with awareness of national and international legislation concerning the oil gas and chemical industry.
• In depth knowledge of the stress analysis systems used in the industry along with detailed knowledge of stress analysis challenges connected with Oil & Gas plants.



Requirements:
Candidates should have experience in the oil, gas and chemical industry with previous principal or senior stress engineer experience.

A degree qualification is preferred with charter engineer status or working towards it.
Candidates should be self-motivated with a desire to continually look for ways to improve working practises.


General skills/experience as below, increasing in depth and breadth the more senior the level.
• Experience in the oil, gas, chemical or nuclear industries.
• HNC (min) - degree preferred.
• Knowledge of international piping codes and national and international industry specific legislation.
• Knowledge of the stress analysis systems used in the industry along with detailed knowledge of stress analysis challenges connected with Oil & Gas plants.
