My client provides engineering services for new facilities and revamps including conceptual design studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC). In addition, they also provide maintenance and turnaround management and is committed to high quality services incorporating the highest standards of safety, environmental protection and performance.

Job Profile

Growth requirement to strengthen Vessels department lead engineer capability and nuclear project experience. Likely to support FEED and EPC projects of the following types; Power, Nuclear waste processing and decommissioning, Underground Gas Storage, Gas Processing Plants

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Description of duties but not limited to
• Use technical writing skills and experience to support the delivery of project related documents to Supplier designed packages, Data sheets, Bid Tabulations, Material requisitions
• Carry out the design and specification of pressure vessels in accordance with PD5500, ASME VIII Div 1 and 2, PED and TEMA.
• Familiar with Vessel design programs such as PVElite, Finglow, Ansys, etc

Specific experience in the following technical areas would be beneficial:
• Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger design for Nuclear waste processing and decommissioning projects


Requirements:
Person Specification

Qualifications
• Degree or equivalent/ chartered Professional Engineer
• Around 20 years experience in Nuclear or Power Sector including 5 - 10years in lead engineer role
Specific competencies required
• Pressure vessel design experience
• Experience of Safety Case and Design Justification Reports required
• Experience of analytical calculations an advantage
• Understanding of Engineering Contractor working environment
• Ability to interface with Clients, suppliers and other discipline engineers
• Should be experienced in Lead Engineer role
