Description:
My Client is a design company that specialise in interior design solutions for the retail sector. They are urgently recruiting for a Designer to join their design team. The role will suit a designer who has strong ideas, all round creative ability, commercial awareness of colour and versatility.
The main responsibilities will include the design and colouring of wallcoverings, assisting in creating printed art, liaising with both customers and suppliers/manufacturers and travel to supplying factories. The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience within the wallcoverings or home fashion industry and will be a creative team player.
Requirements:
Essential skills/attributes
Minimum of 2 years experience in industry/design studio/business environment
Good knowledge of AVA, Photoshop or Illustrator
Formal qualification in art or a related subject such as textile design, photography/illustration (degree preferred, but nor essential)
Good organisational skills
Professional appearance - will be involved with customer presentations
Confident approach
Full driving licence
Desirable
Experience in Wall art / Greetings card industries,
Interest in the arts
Comfortable with travelling overseas
