As a marketing recruitment agency in Leeds we help graphic designers, digital marketers, PR professionals and all-round marketers make their mark in the agency landscapes of Yorkshire.

We’ve gathered the top networking and learning workshops of August 2018. The events are a chance for our candidates to practice their networking skills (and hone their existing creative skills).

Read on to discover what opportunities in design, digital and marketing lie ahead this summer.

    Yorkshire Day with Yorkshire Mafia

    1st August, 18:30-23:30 – Leeds

Yorkshire’s own networking pros, The Yorkshire Mafia, are celebrating their 10- year anniversary on Yorkshire Day. Pretty fitting, right?

It’s a free event and a great chance for our candidates and employer clients to mingle with like-minded creatives in Leeds. Registering is recommended as a large number of Yorkshire Mafia’s 21k+ members are likely to attend. However, you don’t need to be a member yourself to attend and practice your networking skills.

For anyone currently working at a creative agency or looking to do so, this networking event is a great opportunity to meet people from across design, digital and marketing.

For more information visit Yorkshire Mafia’s event page here.

    Performance & Digital Tech Gathering

    3rd August & 4th August, 13:00-17:00, Newcastle

This event is a little different from the others on our list. It’s an opportunity for digital marketing professionals and theatre creatives to share ideas on how the future of tech will influence the theatre industry.

Whether it’s the stage layouts or PR / digital marketing promotion of the events, there’s a lot of relevant and creative knowledge to share. It’s also part of the Great Exhibition of The North campaign, which is championing the creativity of the North with a selection of similar events throughout the summer.

If you’re based in Newcastle or planning a summer trip there, don’t forget to check out some of the great design and digital events running all through the summer.

The Business Network – York Presentation Workshop

    7th August, 11:15-14:00, York

A presentation workshop is perfect for graduates wanting to test their project pitching skills. It’s also a nice chance for experienced marketers to see if their presentation skills are still up to date.

This York workshop is a chance to learn practical skills for pitching ideas within four to five minutes. No matter what role you have in a creative agency, the time will come when you have to quickly pitch an idea to the team, senior manager or client. Practising your five-minute pitch skills and keeping these up to scratch is what differentiates a candidate from a cream of the crop candidate.

Remember: small tweaks can make a big difference to your presentations. So why not give this workshop or any other presentation workshop near you a tr?y? Tickets to this particular workshop start at £25.
